The route to the former Admiral colliery reveals itself through the typically curved route, otherwise no traces of the railway have survived (source: achim-bartoschek.de/bahn_nw.htm#nw3). For it scenic, but a little muddy when wet and tight tight grid,

The Admiral Colliery Cycle Path is a small and very idyllic railway path, not asphalted and not as wide as other railway paths.
Probably arose before the railway cycle routes became fashionable.

The Admiral mine was a former hard coal mine in the Wellinghofen district of Dortmund. The Admiral union, from which the Admiral colliery emerged, was founded in 1910. It emerged from the Niederhofen I-V and Nikolaus collieries in the Hörde district. The mine was designed as a double shaft facility and was located on today's "Limburger Postweg" street. The extraction of hard coal began in 1911, and a coking plant was put into operation in 1914, although it was shut down after a year but was put into operation again in 1920.
