It is a medieval bridge from the 12th century with four eyes that spans the bed of the Francolí River. Throughout its history it has undergone numerous renovations due to floods. The last one was in 2019, and currently (October 2022) it is still under construction, the passage being closed, although you can circulate without problem on the new bridge, which is located right next to it.

After an unexpected river flooding, the top of the bridge was destroyed. It is currently under reconstruction. Visit the old town of Montblanc, higly recommended!
