Is the Dronketurm auf dem Mäuseberg suitable for a winter hike, and are there any seasonal closures?

The Dronketurm is a fantastic destination year-round, with each season offering its own charm. However, winter hikes require careful planning. Some paths are quite steep and challenging, while others might be more gradual. For example, if starting from Daun, a round trip could take a few hours, involving a significant ascent to the tower's elevation. The viewing platform itself is 9.5 meters high, and the tower is approximately 11 meters tall.

What is the historical significance of the Dronketurm?
