Greatly restored little church, very, very worthwhile. We only took a short break on the bench in front of the church when an older gentleman from across the street came up to us and offered us a tour. He could tell us a lot about the church, but also about the gerbera and how it got its name. Check out my photos for that

Cykling

Like a landmark, "the Zodel Church", as it is called in the old documents, still towers over all the houses in the town today. It has survived all storms and times and could tell of wild wars, fires, weather and flood damage. It was initially a small prayer house, the western end of which was at the triumphal arch (where the pulpit stands). This oldest part, the choir, was extended at the beginning of the 15th century by an extension under the same roof line and by a solidly built tower on the west side.

It is imperative to stop here! Mr. Popig from the neighborhood tells an interesting and entertaining story about the history of the village and the church.
The toilets are very well maintained and the drinking water supplies can be refilled.
