Celle Castle is one of the most beautiful castles of the Welf dynasty, one of the oldest of the princely houses still in existence today. First mentioned as a "castrum" in 1318, the initially simple castle was rebuilt over the centuries into an elaborate and magnificent four-winged complex and continually expanded. Renaissance and Baroque styles form a distinctive blend here. In addition to the Residence Museum, the castle houses the oldest Baroque theater in Europe still in use today, as well as the castle chapel, the only place of worship north of the Alps with completely preserved Renaissance furnishings.

Vandring
Wonderful old trees, rhododendrons, easy to walk paths ... also suitable for wheelchair users, strollers, etc. Some benches and a large playground make it good here.
