The Kelpies are two stainless steel sculptures, each around 30 m high. They are in The Helix park, which opened in 2013, near the Forth and Clyde Canal in Falkirk, Scotland.
The sculptures represent two Kelpien, water spirits in horse form. This is intended to express the importance of horses and their pulling power at the beginning of the region's economic development. They drew, among other things, heavily laden wagons, plows and barges
