Mountainbiking

At the entrance to Dillenburg I thought to myself: "Ok, not so pretty here". Until I suddenly rolled through the old town with its really beautiful, old half-timbered houses. When I looked up and saw the Wilhelmsturm, I silently took everything back. Really nice here! Okay, the traffic planning was set in the sand in favor of the traffic, but the city has potential. After all, it is located directly on the Rothaarsteig and is not least due to its good transport links (also train!) An excellent starting point for extensive bike tours through the forests of the Lahn-Dill-Kreises.

Although Dillenburg has many little beautiful sites, but a trip to the Wilhelmsturm and the associated facilities is always worthwhile!

Dillenburg with its more than 23,500 inhabitants is a regional traffic hub and quite industrial. In addition, however, the city in Central Hesse is also the starting point or endpoint of several long-distance hiking trails, such as the Rothaarsteig to Brilon, the castles way to Dusseldorf-Benrath, the Uplandweg to Salzkotten or the Lahn-Dill-Bergland-path to Marburg. Nice to see the houses of Dillenburg old town in the area of the Wilhelmsturm, the landmark of Dillenburg.
