Part of the "Toteiskessellandschaft Kastenseeon", a holdover from the Ice Age. With a water surface of approx. 7 hours, it is the third largest lake in the Ebersberg district. The silting bog on the west bank with its unique flora is particularly valuable from an ecological point of view. Entering the moor is forbidden - but a circular path leads quite close to the landscape. On the west bank you can enjoy the lido in summer.
