"Brigach and Breg bring the Danube along," they say. Here you can see one of the two Danube source rivers, as he sees the light of day. At the Martinskapelle at 1,078 meters of height the Breg comes to light, which humanity has long ago honored with a chapel and later added a large inn, which is a popular tourist destination. But it is also well located;) So a good opportunity, to give you a sip of spring water and a small or larger strengthening.

Vandring
I'm so happy that I could visit this place and see where this beautiful river starts its journey. We've eaten there at " Höhengasthaus Kolmenhof" fresh trout from their own fishery with a delicious salad. The staff was really friendly and answered all our questions. The place also has rooms for tourists- I really recommend it and I'm planning to spend my next holiday there.

“Brigach and Breg bring the Danube to the river,” is a well-known saying from the region. Here you can find the geographical origin of the second longest river in Europe. The Breg source is the most distant source of the Danube, therefore it is not labeled with "Breg source" but with "Danube source".
