This almost flat coastal road runs along the large Firth of Thames bay and the Hunua Mountains Regional Park. A few small towns are on the road. They often offer Fish and Chips to take away. The best ones I've tested are often served in newspaper.

You can observe many seabirds, thanks to the abundance of fish in the waters of this bay as well as the many wetlands that surround it.

Landevejscykling

A popular place to visit and see many rare and migratory birds... Spring and Autumn the place is crowded with camper vans full of people looking for arriving and leaving birds. The area also has a number of wetlands. The terrain is flat and fun to ride. At Kaiaua there is a good fish and chip shop, well worth a stop!
