Anyone who is interested in our diet and would like to understand how agriculture has developed should take a look around the open-air museum here. There is a lot to discover.

In addition to the typical buildings of Lower Saxon villages from the 19th century, a lot of (agricultural) technology can be seen. But also animal welfare. On special days there are demonstrations and activities that are best researched on the Internet beforehand. ;-)

Even those who just drive past it will feel the charm of the open-air museum on the Kiekeberg. The 12-hectare area, on which more than 40 historic buildings from the region between Nordheide and Elbmarschen have been put together to form a village, stretches along the northern slope of the Kiekeberg.
If you want to stay there longer: It is open all year round from Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on weekends and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is only closed on Mondays.

Visiting the open-air museum is certainly particularly interesting.
You'll need a lot of time for that. With an entrance fee of 9 euros, you should also take your time.
I will visit the open-air museum at another time and not combine it with a bike tour.
The many tips and information on the information boards in the photos will certainly give you a good overview of whether and when you are going to visit the museum.
