Be careful, the Rethe Bridge sometimes opens for large ships and it can take 20 minutes to get on!

The new construction of the Rethebrücke is one of the most important infrastructure projects in the harbor. From 2015, the new bascule bridge will replace the Rethehubbrücke, built in 1934. The new Rethe Bridge will be the largest bascule bridge in Europe after completion.
