The high plateau of the Rennfeld (1629m) represents the westernmost summit of the Fischbach Alps. From there you have a wonderful summit view of the Rax, Veitsch, Hochschwab and Eisenerzer Alps, to name just a few.
The Rennfeld can be climbed from Bruck an der Mur in the west via the Kaltbachgraben and the Glanzgraben, from Kapfenberg in the north via Frauenberg, from Pernegg in the southwest via the Gabraun-Graben or from Breitenau am Hochlantsch in the southeast, each with approx. 1100 - 1200 Difference in altitude. A variant of the Central Alpine Path leads directly over the summit.
