Liw Castle - a stronghold and museum in the Liwiec valley
The beginnings of the castle in Liw go back to the first half The 15th century Gothic stronghold was built on the order of the Mazovian prince Janusz I the Elder on the Liwiec river which was then the border of the Mazovian principality and Lithuania. The castle is the only monument of this type on the Mazovian-Podlasie border. The rich history of the object and its location in the picturesque valley of Liwiec attract tourists seeking contact with history, nature and active recreation.
