Landevejscykling
Since 13.03.2019 there is water in the Hainberg pond again.
In winter 2016 the water was let out of the pond. The heavy silting and the resulting richness of nutrients led to algae bloom, especially in the dry summer months. The inflow and outflow to the Asbach was optimized, bank structures removed and even proven heavy metals were disposed of.
€ 450,000 was invested in pond renovation. See also the press release of the DBU (= German Federal Environmental Foundation) Natural Heritage: dbu.de/123artikel38186_2618.html
