Korça is a pretty little town with an old bazaar that is now more geared towards tourists. The Orthodox Church of the Resurrection of Christ was built in 1995. The original church was destroyed during the Hoxha regime. The Mirahor Mosque from 1484. This was recognized as a cultural building and was not destroyed by the communists.
An overnight stay in the old caravanserai is highly recommended.

Before we reach Korce we drive through the long and fertile lowlands in front of Lake Ohrid. Here there is flourishing agriculture, fruit growing, to our delight, cherries in abundance, and you can see new single-family houses scattered everywhere. State-of-the-art suburban industry around Korce. The disadvantage - now the loneliness is over. Traffic is increasing enormously. The center of Korce is beautifully designed and we drink an excellent espresso.
