Sgùrr Bàn is the easternmost of the Fisherfield Munros. It used to be climbed after Beinn a'Chlaidheimh which led to an easier approach than the now more common ascent from loach an Nid with far fewer quartzite boulders to cross. The summit dome is completely covered in the stuff making for slow and difficult progress.
The descent west towards Mullach Coire Mhic Fheachair is easier going and you quickly leave the quartzite behind.
Sgùrr Bàn gives views along the ridge to Mullach Coire Mhic Fheachair as well as across to the Corbett Beinn Dearg Mòr.
