Castle Beverweerd is a historic castle located in Werkhoven, in the province of Utrecht. The castle dates back to the 13th century and has had several owners over the years. The current castle was largely built in the 17th century and has a beautiful baroque style.
As a visitor you can tour the castle and explore the courtyard, the knight's hall and the beautiful gardens. The castle also has a number of outbuildings, including a chapel and a coach house, which can also be visited.

You can cycle across the estate from one side to the other. Nice quiet place and route between the busy provincial road N229 and the Langbroeker Wetering.

Beautiful highway from Utrecht/Houten/Nieuwegein to the Heuvelrug. Castle is not open to visitors, but you drive nicely around it.
