    In 1855 a fire destroyed the facilities.
    In 1862, Mr. Lenormand prevented the priory's complete demolition by buying it back on behalf of the Société des Antiquaires de Normandie. However, a few years later part of the retaining walls were demolished to widen the road to Brionne. It is now property of the state.
