Montreux is a traditional health resort that lies between steep hills on the shores of Lake Geneva. The city is known for its mild microclimate and the Montreux Jazz Festival in July. Magnificent buildings from the Belle Époque stand on the waterfront lined with flowers, sculptures and Mediterranean trees.

The atmosphere is really great. The roads a little inland are much quieter. There is also really nice gastronomy.
