Vandring
The São Lourenço church in Almancil is one of the most beautiful and remarkable churches in the Algarve. You should definitely go around the church, because the otherwise rather simple building is decorated on the back with a tiled picture of Saint São Lourenço, which gives a foretaste of the unique tile art inside the church. Unfortunately, photography is not allowed inside!

The church has opening hours. On 3.11.22 a sign said: Open for visits 10am - 1pm/and 3pm - 5pm, closed Sunday + Monday (tomorrow). We arrived at 12:55pm and saw the door close. Pity! The church and surroundings are also worth seeing from the outside, including the view to the east.
