Information:
Windberg (353 m above sea level) is located within the city limits of Freital and is considered the city's local mountain. The ascent from the south, from the direction of Niederhäslich, and from the north, from the direction of Burgk, both lead up steep hiking trails through beech forests, primarily hornbeam and oak. From the east, from the direction of Bannewitz, one can reach the King Albert Monument, which stands high above Freital, without having to overcome any significant changes in elevation.
