A sculpture of Saint George on the roundabout at the exit from Hördt to Kuhardt. The steel dragon slayer, weighing around two tons, was one of the last commissions that the sculptor Andreas Helmling, who died in 2019, worked on.

Last year we made our pastor Hermann-Josef Mohr an honorary citizen of Hördt. As part of the planning for these celebrations, pastor Mohr expressed the wish to give the community something permanent and lasting as a gift on the occasion of his appointment => a great thing, we think.
The choice fell on the statue or sculpture of St. George, which is to be erected at the roundabout to Rülzheim or Kuhardt and is to be designed and made by the Hördt artist Andreas Helmling.
