Vandring
The castle was first mentioned in 1106 as the property of the Lords of Hengebach. The castle later fell to the Count of Jülich. In 1687 the castle fell victim to a fire. The restorations started in 1904 were destroyed in World War II and later resumed. The keep, remains of the palace and the castle walls have been preserved from the original castle. In 2009 the castle was rebuilt and has been used as an art academy ever since.
