Sculptor Thomas Schütte has erected a "One Man House" in Heilbronn. Bright red and prominently positioned, it is open daily. For Schütte, the house reflects his studio, his retreat, and a place for observing the outside world. The large round window evokes associations with a camera or a ship's cabin—fitting for the idyllic Neckar Island. Simultaneously, architectural models are on display in the Inselspitze Gallery. This representative selection reflects the artist's interest in diverse building forms and their uses.
It stands on the tip of the island, near the Inselhotel.
