Mountainbiking

The windmill was built in 1705, as confirmed by the date engraved on the millstone (part of the mill mechanism), and was used to grind grain.

This is a classic post mill, i.e. a wooden structure on an axis (post), allowing the entire mill body, including the windmills, to rotate in relation to the wind — a popular form in rural regions in the 18th–19th centuries.

The windmills are relatively new, and one is broken. More important is the nice guesthouse right across the street, which sells delicious ice cream and drinks and offers a lovely place to linger.

It was recently renovated and recognized for its attractiveness. Windmills in such good condition are now quite rare.
