The Barranco del Dolo via ferrata, located near Civago in the upper Reggio Apennines, climbs up a rock face of compact sandstone that develops vertically from the bed of the Dolo stream for about 200m up to the road that leads to the town.
The Via Ferrata offers a breathtaking view with the river behind you and contrary to what usually happens, the approach path to the via ferrata consists of a steep descent into the woods.

The ferrata starts at the Dolo stream, at the foot of the Amorotto tower. The ascent is very technical, suitable only for expert climbers. Harness and helmet obligation.
