Covering 6 acres (2.5 ha), Loch Stiapabhat is a huge loch on the Isle of Lewis. The shallow waters are full of nutrients from the underlying calcareous sand and drainage from surrounding crofts. The loch is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest and is the only Local Nature Reserve on the Western Isles.

The Nature Observatory at the loch is a great place to watch the amazing wildlife.
