When visiting Yar Tor, take a moment to explore the unique spiral-shaped summit shelter, ingeniously designed to provide respite from Dartmoor's often brisk winds. This distinctive feature not only offers practical shelter but also adds an artistic touch to the landscape [1]. Additionally, be on the lookout for the 'Money Pit,' a kerbed cairn with a central kistvaen located on the southern end of the stone row. This site is steeped in local legend and offers a fascinating glimpse into the area's rich prehistoric heritage.
