The Perfume River is over 100 kilometers long. For all Vietnamese, this river is the symbol of Hue.
The Perfume River always flows slowly because its water level is not very high compared to sea level. Geographically, this river is the source of the two streams Ta Trach and Huu Trach. Acorus grows everywhere along the banks of these streams. It's a type of fragrant grass whose petals fall into the water, so the river brings this fragrance to Hue.
Very pleasant boat tours are offered.

There was a lot to do on the river: pedal boating, renting dragon boats, strolling through various parks, relaxing in various cafes.

On the southern bank of the river, parks and promenades invite visitors to linger, adorned with sculptures by local artists. It is particularly beautiful in the evening when the last dragon boats return from their excursions and the silhouette of the colorfully illuminated Truong Tien Bridge is reflected in the waters of the tranquil Perfume River.
