The Hagneck Canal, completed in 1887, is the key site of the Jurassic Water Correction and has therefore quite changed the face of the region.
The power plant was renewed until 2015 and the estuary completely redesigned, also fish-friendly and biotobartiger. Interesting place in every season. In addition, beautiful Umferstelle on Lake Biel.

Great bike tour with a fantastic view above Ins on Lake Neuchâtel and Murten and Mt. Vully. Back over the Hofmannsfluh, the route offers a unique view of Lake Biel and the Chasseral along with a demanding MTB feeling.
