Jaarsma Bakery is a historic landmark in Pella, Iowa, serving traditional Dutch treats since Harmon Jaarsma founded it in 1898. Now operated by the fourth and fifth generations of the family, the bakery is famous for its scratch-made recipes that have remained unchanged for over a century. Visitors often describe it as a welcoming and "cute" local institution with a high-energy atmosphere, especially during the town's annual Tulip Time festival, when lines often stretch out the door.
