The copy of the well-known statue of Lupa Capitolina is located in front of the Brasov City Hall. It symbolizes the Latin origin of the Romanian nation. The original bronze statue was cast in the 5th century BC, probably in the valley of the Tiber. The monument represents a life-size wolf and two suckling children, Romulus and Remus, the legendary founders of Rome. There are numerous copies of Lupa Capitolina in other Romanian cities.
