Formerly the northern exit, today it's the most photogenic hole in the city wall. Gatekeepers once lived here; today, it's just a memory. Those who pass through are leaving Ried... or simply returning.

In addition to the Braunauer Tor, it is the second surviving gate of the old fortification.
The "Erltor" (after the alders on the moat) or "Münsterer Tor" was the only exit to the north. Until 1808, official gatekeepers who lived on the upper floor controlled the movement of people and goods.
