The small but clean beach of the village is ideal for enjoying the Spanish sun. To cool off you can take a refreshing dip in the Mediterranean Sea. In addition to tourists, a few small fishing boats are waiting on the beach until they can go back to sea.

Tamariu consists of a beautiful sandy beach with a small boulevard in front of it with a few catering establishments where you can enjoy Spanish life in the sun. The village does not offer too much besides the nice boulevard and the beautiful beach, but who needs more. There are hardly any high-rise buildings in the village and many of the visitors to the resort are locals. The village owes its name to the many tamarisk trees along the coastline.
