The bunker, which was built in 1938, is one of 59 “Westwall” buildings that were built in the hamlet district.
On October 7, 1944, the bomber attack on the Märkt weir took place; two bombers were hit.
There is a memorial plaque on the side wall with very good information.
The best information about the attack on the weir can be found on the website.

On the bunker at the dam weir market hangs a placard that indicates the shooting down of British bombers and a subsequent war crime.
