The Nikolaiturm in Görlitz is 45 meters high and with the Reichenbacher Tower and the thick tower it is one of the 3 still existing towers of the former city fortifications of Görlitz. The historic old town of Görlitz begins at the Nikolaiturm and ends at the Nikolaivorstadt.

The 45-metre-high Nikolaiturm is part of the former city fortifications of Görlitz.[1] It is located in the oldest part of the city and borders directly on the Nikolaivorstadt. Together with the Fat Tower and the Reichenbach Tower, three of the four defensive towers of Görlitz have been preserved.
