From the hills and mountains of the region, you have fantastic views over the lovely landscape of the Sankt Wendeler Land. Here in the north-east of the Saarland, you cycle through romantic forests and pass colorful fields and fragrant meadows. Old tunnels and breathtaking viaducts create excitement on smoothly asphalted railway tracks and charming towns like Sankt Wendel provide cultural highlights.

In the cycling region Sankt Wendeler Land, you will find a 210-mile (340-kilometer) cycle route network, which offers you many varied cycle Tours. In this Collection, we present the five most beautiful day tours of the Sankt Wendeler Land. In addition to the Fritz-Wunderlich cycle path, which takes you from Altenglan to Freisen on an old railway track, we also show you four circuits: the Schaumberg circuit, the Weiselberg cycle path, the Ostertal-Höhen circuit and the Wendelinus cycle path.

All cycle paths are between around 20 and 30 miles (30 and 40 kilometers) long and start either near a railway station or at a car park. From the respective starting points, you cycle through the slightly hilly terrain of the Sankt Wendeler Land and enjoy the proximity to nature and the wonderful views of the scenically varied region. Small villages, courtyards, castles and pretty little towns offer you the opportunity to stop off again and again along the way, so that you can round off your rides with Saarland delicacies.
