This trail leads through the Schlüchtern basin, an undulating open landscape between Spessart, Vogelsberg and Rhön, which was formed by the shell limestone sea 210 million years ago. Many orchid species that can be found along the Spessart track feel at home on this limestone.The path continues over mountain ranges with far-reaching views, through quiet forests with changing forest patterns and over open field paths with lush green meadows.
