This approximately 17-kilometer hike is ideal for combining with bus and rail. Because on weekdays, the 975 bus takes you from Bamberg station forecourt to one of the highest places in the Bamberg district. From the 546-meter-high Teuchatzer Berg, you then hike - except for a few, insignificant exceptions - almost only downhill. On the way, guest towns and beer cellars provide space for a hearty stop in any weather, before the S-Bahn takes you back to the conurbation.
