After the winter is over, Berlin shows itself from it's the best side again. And spring becomes especially beautiful when the cherry blossoms are blooming. In Japan, the whole country is celebrating “Hanami”, once the blossoms come out. It's the cherry blossom festival. Around Berlin, there are several places where you can also enjoy the delicate white and pink flowers. Pack a picnic and a blanket and take your bike out for a ride to catch them before it's too late!

Kirschbaumallee is a section of the Berlin Wall Trail near the former Bornholmer Strasse border crossing. Out of joy at the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Germany, Japanese citizens donated these cherry trees in a generous fundraising campaign, which were planted in various places in and around Berlin. There are now over 10,000.

Very nice city park in Steglitz, not too big, not too small and above all: not crowded (even in good weather). Many playgrounds for different age groups - ideal for families with small / small children.
