Exciting descents, wonderful nature, breathtaking panoramas and cozy places to stop for refreshments - that is the new Alpirsbacher Klosterbräu Schwarzwaldtrail.The Black Forest Trail is designed as a flow trail, so that every mountain biker can have a lot of fun here. The goal was to enable as smooth a ride as possible without greater technical demands and still to offer fun to experienced bikers with jumping opportunities and demanding lines. Northshores are integrated in some sections of the route if required by the terrain.The trail is around three kilometers long and starts above the Grashöhe bus stop. A short piece of forest path takes you to the start, where the trail fun can begin. In the middle of the forest you roll downhill towards Brigittenschloss and from there to a paragliding site. After enjoying the ingenious view that opens up from this point, the trail meanders over the open space and then, after another short piece of forest path, plunges back into the forest. Many turns later you land directly at the Hotel-Restaurant Spinnerhof. A (paid) shuttle service up to the grass height is regularly offered here at the weekend. For the 21st time, the Black Forest Ultra Bike Marathon will take place in 2019, at the longest distance of which the bikers will destroy 114 kilometers and 3,170 vertical meters. This tour is significantly shorter at 33 kilometers and promises beautiful trails and fantastic views as well as various opportunities for leisurely breaks with rustic refreshments. A bit of stamina can not hurt this round - technically, however, basic knowledge is completely sufficient.In doing so, you will follow in the footsteps of the marathon, as the first challenging climb, which takes you around 700 meters in altitude, largely corresponds to the racetrack. But you have no stress and can take it easy. Stay calm and enjoy the beautiful view - it's worth it! This also applies to the small detour to the Höfener hut, which we have built into the route. Above you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Dreisamtal and the subsequent descent through the idyllic Zastlertal back to Kirchzarten is pure enjoyment.If you've come to the taste after the tour or just want to watch the pros, it's worth a visit to the Black Forest Ultra Bike Marathon. This compact tour takes you from Freudenstadt via beautiful trails and paths through the Black Forest. You will pass beautiful viewpoints and can take a break at the picturesque Kinzig dam.Right at the start, a crisp climb awaits you, which leads you up to the Kienberg, from where you can enjoy a wonderful view of Freudenstadt. If you feel like it, you can climb the 25-meter-high Herzog-Friedrich-Turm, from whose viewing platform you have a breathtaking panoramic view of the Black Forest. Through dense forest it goes on to Lossburg, where another highlight is waiting for you: The 172 steps to the Vogteiturm are worth the effort, because from above you can see the Swabian Jura. If you want to strengthen yourself, a detour to the village, which is idyllically located at the beginning of the Kinzig valley, is worthwhile.After a long single trail descent, you will drive to the banks of the Kinzigtalsperre, which you will almost completely circle in the following before going uphill again. On the way back you will get to know the Kienberg from the other side before you roll down to Freudenstadt. Here you can end the day wonderfully. A delicious glass of wine, hearty snacks or a piece of Black Forest cherry cake - Freudenstadt is the epitome of pleasure. The atmosphere in one of the cafés and restaurants around the market square is particularly beautiful: 50 water fountains provide a special backdrop on Germany's largest market square.
Almost 148 kilometers and more than 4,000 meters in altitude - these are the facts of a long tour that will delight you with its many scenic highlights. If you want to take it easy, the tour is ideal for a multi-day tour with overnight stays in the picturesque villages of the Black Forest. Technically, this tour is easy to master even for inexperienced bikers, enjoyment is paramount. Numerous huts and mountain inns along the way invite you to recharge your energy storage.The Hochschwarzwald summit trail can easily be divided into three stages. Accommodation options are plentiful in the hotels, guest houses, holiday apartments and on the campsites along the route.The first stage is the 62-kilometer route from Neustadt via Titisee and Hinterzarten to Todtnau. On the tour you drive through pristine forests, over isolated high pastures and panoramic mountains such as the Stübwasen, from where there are clear views to the Alps and the Vosges with a clear view.The next day, around 50 kilometers are waiting for you. From Todtnau you drive via Schluchsee to Rothaus. It is worth packing your bathing suit here: on summer tours it is a pleasure to jump into the cool water of the Schluchsee on the way. In the evening you can get to know the regional art of brewing extensively on a tour of the Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus.Finally, return to the starting point from Rothaus via Lenzkirch to Neustadt. Here, too, there are nice opportunities to take a break. For example, you can visit the Hochfirstschanze in Neustadt.
This demanding tour takes you directly from the sunny city of Freiburg to the local mountain Schauinsland and the best trails in the area. These were built by the Freiburg Mountain Bike Association partly with the help of Canadian trail construction professionals and are just fun!But before the trail fun begins, you deserve a few meters of altitude. From Freiburg you first drive more or less parallel to the Schauinslandstraße until you reach the valley station of the Schauinslandbahn. If you don't have that much time or your strength for the trails
want to save, you have the opportunity to use the cable car here - bicycles are also transported in the gondolas.If you decide to conquer the mountain on your own, you will be rewarded with a great view from time to time until you finally reach the top. The Schauinsland Tower is the perfect place for a little break before you rush back to Freiburg via the "Badish Moon Rising" Flowtrail and the "Canadian Trail".Tip:

The Offenburg Worldclass MTB Challenge was an institution in the marathon scene for seven years in a row. Launched by former bike professional Jörg Scheiderbauer, the race attracted around 2,000 starters to the Black Forest every year and was even part of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup. A real knighthood for this region and impressive proof that you can really bike here.On this tour you will follow the trail of the bike challenge. However, without any stress, but with a lot of enjoyment: The drive through the foothills of the Black Forest and through the vineyards of the Ortenaukreis is just fantastic. Thanks to the varied ups and downs, you collect a lot of vertical meters on the way. 1,280 meters of altitude are distributed over around 44 kilometers - a challenging but also wonderful trailer experience. Because the numerous viewpoints along the way and the picturesque vineyards are a worthy reward for your efforts. And if you still don't have enough at the end of the tour, just end the day with a few laps on the Offenburger Pumptrack!
Schonach is a small community in the central Black Forest and a pearl for mountain bikers. The idyllic landscape, breathtaking views, refreshing springs, cozy places to stop for refreshments and last but not least great trails make the place and its surroundings a true bike paradise.You will get to know this extensively on this long, demanding tour. It goes up and down, sometimes quite steep and in the end you collect 1,100 vertical meters. If you don't have as much time or want to spare your strength, you can shorten the tour well on the way. For example, you could use the small connecting road at the “Näbbe dus” courtyard café as a shortcut and save just under 20 kilometers and 400 meters in altitude.By the way, Schonach is definitely worth a longer stay. Here you will find cozy accommodation and lots of sights. For example, the largest cuckoo clock in the world, the German clock museum, the Phonomuseum or simply a cozy café where you can enjoy the world-famous Black Forest cherry cake.
The name says it all on this tour: It combines four of the most beautiful lakes in the Black Forest into a demanding tour, which is long but technically also suitable for beginners and offers you the finest material for an extensive day tour on the bike. The start and finish of the tour are at Schluchsee, so that you can then end the day with a visit to the lake promenade.From Schluchsee you first drive past the Windgfälweiher towards Feldsee and thus also towards Feldberg, the highest elevation of all German low mountain ranges. So you pedal through the middle of the Black Forest and collect lots of vertical meters - in return you will always be rewarded with idyllic viewpoints that are worth every single pedal turn. The Titisee then completes the refreshing quartet and invites you to a hearty break with a nice mix of hustle and bustle before you head back to the Schluchsee.The approximately 72-kilometer tour is very hilly and will take you many hours, so you can plan this tour as a daily program, but also split it into two stages. If you want to take your time and would rather take the tour over two days, Hinterzarten or Titisee are a good destination. Here you will find a lot of hosts who offer cozy accommodation.
