Exciting downhill runs, wonderful nature, breathtaking panoramas and cozy rest stops - this is the new Alpirsbacher Klosterbräu Schwarzwaldtrail.The Black Forest Trail is designed as a flow trail, so that really every mountain biker can have fun here. The aim was to make it as fluid as possible to navigate without major technical demands, while still offering experienced bikers with jumping ability and challenging lines fun. In some sections Northshores are integrated when required by the terrain.The trail is about three kilometers long and starts above the bus stop Grashöhe. A short piece of forest takes you to the start, where the trail fun can begin. In the middle of the forest you roll downhill in the direction of Brigittenschloss and from there to a paraglider place. After enjoying the awesome view that opens up from this point, the trail meanders over the open area and then dives back into the forest after another short piece of forest road. Many curves later you land directly at the Hotel-Restaurant Spinnerhof. On weekends, a (paid) shuttle service is offered here regularly to the grassy heights. Around Baiersbronn there is a dense trail network - officially approved and specially tailored to the needs of bikers. For the 21st time, the Black Forest Ultra Bike Marathon will take place in 2019, at the longest distance of which the bikers will destroy 114 kilometers and 3,170 vertical meters. This tour is significantly shorter at 33 kilometers and promises beautiful trails and fantastic views as well as various opportunities for leisurely breaks with rustic refreshments. A bit of stamina can not hurt this round - technically, however, basic knowledge is completely sufficient.In doing so, you will follow in the footsteps of the marathon, as the first challenging climb, which takes you around 700 meters in altitude, largely corresponds to the racetrack. But you have no stress and can take it easy. Stay calm and enjoy the beautiful view - it's worth it! This also applies to the small detour to the Höfener hut, which we have built into the route. Above you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Dreisamtal and the subsequent descent through the idyllic Zastlertal back to Kirchzarten is pure enjoyment.If you've come to the taste after the tour or just want to watch the pros, it's worth a visit to the Black Forest Ultra Bike Marathon. This compact tour takes you from Freudenstadt on beautiful trails and paths through the Black Forest. You will pass beautiful vantage points and can take a break at the picturesque Kinzigtalsperre about half way.Right at the beginning of a crisp climb waiting for you, which leads you up to the Kienberg, from which you can enjoy a magnificent view of Freudenstadt. If you feel like it, you can climb the 25-meter-high Herzog-Friedrich-Turm, from whose viewing platform you have a breathtaking panoramic view of the Black Forest. Through dense forest, it goes on to Lossburg, where another highlight awaits you: The 172 steps on the Vogteiturm are worth the effort, because from the top you can look into the Swabian Alb. If you want to strengthen yourself, make a detour to the idyllic location at the beginning of the Kinzig Valley.After a long singletrack downhill you drive to the shore of the Kinzigtalsperre, which you will almost completely circle around before going uphill again. On the way back you will get to know the Kienberg from the other side, before you relax and roll down to Freudenstadt. Here you can end the day wonderfully. A delicious glass of wine, hearty Vespers or a piece of Black Forest cake - Freudenstadt is the epitome of indulgence. The atmosphere in one of the cafés and restaurants around the market square is particularly beautiful: 50 fountains on Germany's largest Martplatz provide a special backdrop.
Just under 148 kilometers and more than 4,000 vertical meters - these are the facts about a long tour that will inspire you with its many scenic highlights. If you want to take it a bit more leisurely, the round is ideal for a multi-day tour with overnight stays in the picturesque villages of the Black Forest. Technically, this tour is also good for inexperienced bikers to master, the enjoyment is in the foreground. To load the energy storage invite numerous huts and mountain inns along the way.The summit trail Hochschwarzwald can be easily divided into three stages. Accommodation options are abundant in the hotels, guesthouses, apartments and campsites along the way.The first stage is the 62-kilometer route from Neustadt via Titisee and Hinterzarten to Todtnau. On the tour you will cycle through pristine forests, over secluded alpine meadows and panoramic mountains such as the Stübenwasen, from where you can enjoy far-reaching views of the Alps and the Vosges on a clear day.The next day, about 50 kilometers are waiting for you. From Todtnau you drive via Schluchsee to Rothaus. Here it is worth to pack swimsuits: During summer tours, it is a pleasure to jump into the cool waters of the Schluchsee on the way. In the evening you can get to know the regional brewing art during a tour of the Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus.Back to the starting point you will finally drive from Rothaus via Lenzkirch to Neustadt. Again, there are nice breaks on the way. For example, you can visit the Hochfirst ski jump in Neustadt.
This challenging tour takes you directly from the sunny city of Freiburg to the local mountain Schauinsland and the best trails in the area. These were built by the Freiburg Mountain Bike Association partly with the help of Canadian Trailbau professionals and make just fun!But before the trail fun begins, you deserve you first a few meters. From Freiburg you first drive more or less parallel to the Schauinslandstraße until you reach the valley station of the Schauinslandbahn. If you do not have that much time or your strength for the trails
If you want to save money, you have the opportunity to take the mountain railway to your rescue - bicycles are also transported in the gondolas.If you decide to overcome the mountain on your own, you will be rewarded in between with a great view, until you finally reach the top. The Schauinsland Tower is the perfect place to take a break before rushing back to Freiburg via the "Badish Moon Rising" Flow Trail and the "Canadian Trail".Tip:
The "Canadian Trail" is quite demanding and not so well suited for beginners. But there are always opportunities to switch from trails to wide trails.

This tour is challenging and exhilarating at the same time - but certainly it is worth every bead of sweat!
The Worldclass MTB Challenge in Offenburg was an institution in the marathon scene for seven consecutive years. Initiated by former bike pro Jörg Scheiderbauer, the race attracted some 2,000 starters to the Black Forest every year and was even part of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup. A true accolade so for this region and an impressive proof that you can biking really well here.On this tour you will follow the footsteps of the bike challenge. However, without stress, but with a lot of enjoyment: The drive through the foothills of the Black Forest and through the vineyards of Ortenaukreises is just fantastic. On the way, you can collect a lot of altitude difference thanks to a variety of ups and downs: There are 1,280 meters of altitude difference over a distance of around 44 kilometers - a challenging but also wonderful trail experience. Because the numerous vantage points on the way and the picturesque vineyards are a worthy reward for your efforts. And if you still do not have enough at the end of the tour, you can end the day with just a few laps on the Offenburger Pumptrack!
Schonach is a small community in the middle Black Forest and a pearl for mountain bikers. The idyllic landscape, breathtaking views, refreshing springs, cozy restaurants and last but not least, great trails make the place and its surroundings a true bike Eldorado.You'll get to know this extensively on this long, demanding tour. It goes up and down, sometimes quite steep and at the end you collect 1,100 vertical meters. Incidentally, if you do not have much time or spare your energy, you can cut short the tour well on the way. For example, you could use the small connecting road at the court café "Näbbe dus" as a shortcut and save just under 20 kilometers and 400 meters in altitude.By the way Schonach is definitely worth a longer stay. Here you will find cozy accommodations and lots of sights. For example, the largest cuckoo clock in the world, the German Clock Museum, the Phonomuseum or simply a cozy café serving you the world-famous Black Forest cake.
In this round, the name is program: It links four of the most beautiful lakes in the Black Forest to a challenging tour, which is long but technically suitable for beginners and offers the finest material for an extensive day tour on the bike. The start and finish of the tour are located on the Schluchsee, so you have the opportunity to end the day comfortably with a visit to the lake promenade.From the Schluchsee you first drive past the Windgfällweiher in the direction of Feldsee and thus in the direction of Feldberg, the highest elevation of all German low mountain ranges. So you pedal through the middle of the Black Forest and collect a lot of altitude - in return, you will be rewarded again and again with idyllic vantage points, which are absolutely worth every single pedal turn. The Titisee then completes the refreshing quartet and invites you to a hearty break with a nice mix of excitement and idyll, before you head back to the Schluchsee.The approximately 72-kilometer tour is very hilly and will take you many hours, so you can plan this tour as a daily program, but also split in two stages. If you take your time and prefer to ride the tour for two days, Hinterzarten or Titisee are the destination of the day. Here you will find plenty of hosts who offer you cozy accommodation.
