In April, in the middle of May, a tour to suit my taste: professional commitments in the morning are combined with outdoor fun in the direction of a home base in the Munich bacon belt, and that even in the service of the community. My goal was to get from the given starting point at Max-Weber-Platz "as green as possible" to the self-defined destination in Neuperlach-Süd. There were some destinations that had been on my list of visitors for a long time, such as the septic tank of the Hachinger Bach on Michaelianger. One aspect of the tour was also trying to get a little green from the very urban sections without a pronounced nature, such as around the main traffic arteries, and to get a few corresponding snapshots. I think I managed that quite well at Haidenauplatz and Berg-am-Laim-Straße.

First thanks to my predecessor Jackie_Catkin for choosing the starting point in Obergiesing. That was a crucial trigger point, although I tend to go to the Munich part west of the Isar, because I know more about it there, I didn't go west. Instead, I stayed close to the main artery of Munich's Isar and went northeast. The motto of stage 5 seems to me to be the diversity of a natural city close to the small town cosiness.Following MonacoTrail’s hike along the western city streams, I walked through the Au district on the eastern city stream, the Auer Mühlbach, until it was almost reunited with the Isar. Then it went up to Haidhausen to explore this old district in more detail.Further description details for a few stations were added on May 29 and the pictures were labeled (If a picture title does not appear in the app, simply tap the picture again):

When I heard where my tour started, I quickly realized where it was going.
I wanted to walk in the footsteps of the kings. Historically, I'm definitely failing with this tour, but history has never been my strong point.
My goal was to find as many signs of our royal past on the route as possible.
One more thing about the pictures: since I didn't take them with my cell phone, it is not marked on the route where they were taken, but they are all in the correct order. If you want to follow the route, you can also do a picture search.

A nice and relaxed tour in the southwest of Munich. No big city flair, but lots of forest and finally the beautiful Würm, my personal highlight for Munich and the surrounding area.
The break in the busy Forsthaus Kasten came at the right time. (Papa, when is the beer garden coming?) The hygiene rules are practiced very consistently here ... With electronic registration at the entrance ... With the many people, there is probably not much left for the landlord ... But a little unusual.
Unfortunately the second beer garden of the tour, the "Wirzhaus" in Stockdorf, closed ... There was an ice cream at the Harter. For mom and dad too. We then left out the Kraillinger brewery.
I hope there are not too many photos.
Have fun tomorrow in the tenth stage of the relay hike!

I take over the virtual baton at the S-Bahn station Fasanerie and am greeted by a strange person. The barrier is equipped with a mechanical bell. That, the unknown starting point and a coffee let me go with anticipation through one of Munich's many green areas towards Lerchenauer See. The skyscrapers are very picturesque reflected in the water. The beer garden was razed to the ground, but it is too early for that.
The direct route from Komoot planning is blocked by a railway line. I have to remember that it's like a navigation system in a car. You have to be careful yourself. At Karlsruhe someone drove into the Rhine by car. Following the navigation system. So I make a little dangle and reach the Feldmochinger Anger. A larger area, which is converted very slowly (atypical for Munich) into a park with agricultural use. Just as MonacoTrail has already written. I learned to appreciate the guy's tips over time.
