Starting from the Steinbergbahn mountain station, the ten-kilometer Steinbergtrail starts and meanders through the forest towards the Steinbergbahn valley station. With an average gradient of approximately nine percent, it is one of the most fluid trails in the Bikepark Leogang. To find on this trail are plenty of pleasant drivable riparian and curves for bikers of all skill levels. In the meantime you can take a break in the great clearings with a unique view of the eponymous mountain range "Leoganger Steinberge", take a short break and capture the unique panorama at the Fotopoint plateau.Distance: 10 km

Do not forget your knee and elbow protectors.You start in Leogang and drive up the valley of the Schwarzbach. You drive on a good mobile gravel road. After you have climbed the Kniestichkogel, the trail adventure starts. The trail is divided into two sections, which are connected by the gravel road you have already driven. In the upper part, roots and switchbacks are waiting for you. In the lower part it is initially also woody, at least from the Matzalm it will be wonderful flowig.If you want to save yourself the uphill, then you can go uphill to the Asitz mountain station with the help of the gondola lift and start from there (lift ticket or Löwen Alpin Card required!).In this short video you get a nice impression of the trail:
From the starting point "football pitch Leogang" it goes along the bike path to Sonnberg. Here you turn right and follow the road uphill to the Badhaus Leogang. From here it goes on a forest road in serpentines to Riedlalm. The Riedlalm is located at 1228 meters altitude and offers a wonderful view and delicious local specialties. After a well-deserved rest, we continue the same route back. First, it's easy with the help of the Asitz cable car uphill to the mountain station (lift ticket or Löwen Alpin Card required!). After the panoramic trail to the Schönleiten hut, the route alternates uphill and downhill, past Jahnhütte and Örgenbauernalm to the mountain inn Biberg.Here you can enjoy the magnificent panorama on one of the most beautiful mountain views in the region and let yourself be pampered before starting the descent towards Leogang. First you go with the help of the gondola uphill to the Asitz mountain station (lift ticket or Löwen Alpin Card required!). After the first trail with a short sliding passage, after which you will be compensated with a dream panorama, the path leads alternately downhill and uphill to the Thurneralm.From there it continues on a beautiful forest and meadows Trail to Spielberg plateau. Passing the Spielberghaus and the Burgeralm, you descend down the forest road to the Gasthaus "Eiserne Hand" in Fieberbrunn. A short climb brings you to Hochfilzen. Back then it goes comfortably on the bike path, past the "Griessener Moor" to Leogang. The tour to one of the most beautiful mountains of the region. The bike path takes you comfortably from the center of Saalfelden to Harham. Here begins the 500-meter climb with 15 bends to Örgenbauernalm.After a short piece of flat, continue uphill until you reach the highest point of the tour after a short descent and the final climb just above the mountain inn Biberg. Here you can enjoy the magnificent panorama of the Saalfeldner Becken and be spoiled with culinary delights, before you take the exit in the direction of Saalfelden.
From the center of Saalfelden, take the Lichtenbergstrasse uphill to the main ascent below the Einsiedelei (Steinalm car park) in Saalfelden (partial passage of the Watzmann Hochkönigsrunde).From here on the Forstrasse on to the highest point of the tour, which lies at the foot of the Breithorn. A bank invites you to linger. Then it goes downhill on forest roads and optionally on forest roads to the mountain inn Kronreith, which invites you to take a break with a magnificent panorama.Via Maria Alm and the golf course Urslautal you drive the last part on the bike path back to the starting point in Saalfelden.
From the valley station of the Leogang mountain railways you drive along the bike path initially mostly uphill in the direction of Hochfilzen. From there you continue to the Gasthof Eiserne Hand and over the Burgeralm to Spielberghaus. It follows the descent on the forest road to Saalbach. For enduro lovers there is also the possibility of the "hell trail"
to get down.Get started with the gondola! And comfortably using the Kohlmaisbahn (Löwen Alpin Card required) to the mountain station and then continue on the Big 5 Trail to Wildenkarhütte. Of course, if you are really athletic and can not get enough of the altitude difference, you can also race high as stated in the tour.The way back to Leogang is via the Schönleiten Hut, as well as the Schönleitentrail. The descent from the mountain station down into the valley can be made via Hangman I (ATTENTION: very difficult - only with good protective equipment) or the new HOT SHOTS - fired by Gopro (lighter version) & Hangman II or alternatively via the forest road.TIP: Elbow and knee protectors are recommended for departure from the Asitz!
Today you set off for the highest peak of the Salzburg Schieferalpen - as far as you can go up on a mountain bike. The Hundstein is with its 2117 meters the highest mountain in the area. You start in Saalfelden and drive flat over Ramseiden to Maria Alm. Here you follow the course of the Urslau Ache up to the valley station of the Abergbahn. Then it's finally uphill and you expect about 1250 vertical meters on the next 12 kilometers. In order to be able to breathe properly waiting on the way to the top always great refreshments and panoramic views of you. Of course, the view from the summit of Hundstein is stunning.Now comes the part that you will have been looking forward to all day long. On the way down to Thumersbach a fast downhill awaits you. Once at the bottom you can jump into the Zeller lake and then roll back comfortably to Saalfelden.
Enjoy the panorama of one of the most beautiful mountain views. At the bike path it is mostly a slight uphill to Hochfilzen. A small piece must be covered on the main road before it goes into the area. The ascent to the Grießner pastures has a very pleasant slope, so you can divide your forces well. After a short descent, it goes uphill again a bit. It follows a longer descent to Feistenau.The panorama of this tour conveys all facets of the mountain world of the Alps - the Wilder Kaiser, the Loferer and Leogang mountains and the Kitzbühler Horn - a varied landscape that makes you want more mountain and nature experience. Back in Hochfilzen, you cycle back to Leogang.
On the legendary competition course on the Leogang local mountain. From the center in Leogang the route leads into the natural and quiet Schwarzbachtal. Passing the Matzalm, you come to the head of the valley, where the trail turns and you get through the woods up to the mountain station of the Asitzbahn. Along alpine meadows, it's sometimes a bit steeper up to the reservoir pond and from there the last short climb to the summit.The course record: 46:33 minutes!
From the center of Saalfelden the route leads in an easterly direction to Ramseiden. Passing Theurerhof, it goes up a gravel road slightly uphill and along the wonderfully located golf course to Maria Alm. The center with the second tallest church tower in the province of Salzburg invites you to linger.Continue uphill to the Berggasthof Kronreith, where you can indulge in regional delicacies after a short but noteworthy climb. The way back is via Maria Alm and leads us back to Saalfelden on the other side of the golf course.
The Schwarzleotal is a "cool" tip for mountain bikers, especially on hot summer days. Always along Schwarzleobach it goes 500 meters uphill to the valley. Here is still a short sliding distance with just under 150 vertical meters increase!Over a short forest and meadow path you reach the Lindlalm. This cozy and authentic alpine hut, with a wonderful panorama and Almidylle pure, lets you forget about the ascent. At the "Resi" on the Lindlalm, it's worth the effort alone, because of the rustic charm that the landlady exudes. You should definitely taste the so-called "Almwuzl"!Tip: This tour can be ideally combined with a hike to the Spielberghorn. Walking time from the Lindlalm: approx. 1.5 hours. Attention: sure-footedness required!
