The - shorter - height tour of the Leinleiter Nordic Walking routes with an official start very close to the Heiligenstadt pavilion - with a view of Heiligenstadt in the Leinleitertal and Greifenstein. The marking is only for one (this :) running direction and is sufficient for a few places. At the next major fork in the road, the short 2-way branch branches off to the left, while here the 1-way follows the farm road (which is later paved). The following long curve gives an idea that the turning point has been reached. On the next economic route it is now only (moderately :) uphill -> a short lap, but with the long, steady climb it is quite a good cardiovascular training! :-)
The longer trail of the Leinleiter Nordic Walking routes with an official start very close to the Heiligenstadt pavilion - with a view of Heiligenstadt in the Leinleitertal and Greifenstein. The marking is only for one (this :) running direction and is sufficient for a few places. At the next major fork in the road, the short 1-way route branches off to the right, while this 2-way route to the left continues for a while on the hiking trail up to the beautiful descent into and on in the Werntal. This section to the Leinleitertal is pure peace and pleasure in a small valley with a stream (which has its source here) on the way to the idyllic school mill. This is bypassed above, and the tour turns back towards Heiligenstadt. From here it is almost all uphill - if you prefer to go uphill first and then go downhill at the end, you better start your round here, see also my made tour >> komoot.de/tour/165631955 :-) The section from the Veilbronner school mill back to the Heiligenstadt pavilion runs on a less attractive economic route, but just right to (with good technology;) one nice training session to complete! :-))

The "black" Nordic Walking round in the Leinleitertal :-) actually includes Unterleinleiter as a start / finish in the route network, which was not taken into account in this GPS round, since it was 500 meters at the beginning and at the end in the same way run back and forth. The start of this round was chosen in Veilbronn, where at the end of a spacious hikers' parking lot there is also an overview board of the entire Leinleiter route network, see also my tour >> komoot.de/tour/165216872.
The signage is fairly sparse and only in one (this) direction, but the route runs along well-marked hiking trails, shortly after Veilbronn in the Leidingshofer Tal nature reserve it follows the Frankenweg. This section is by far the most interesting from a landscape and botanical point of view. It is a bit monotonous on the Jurahöhe - mostly in the forest - good for speeding up (but only possible in dry conditions, otherwise unfortunately muddy paths! :( To descend towards the Unterleinleiter, leave the Frankenweg and go down in the valley the Leinleiter foot / bicycle path left to Unterleinleiter, back to Veilbronn but right, comfortable (if not too much cycling) along the river.
Round 4 (as well as longer number 5) of the Nordic Walking Park Leinleitertal begins in the middle of the beautiful town center of Heiligenstadt - at the Oertelshof, right next to the large market square with fountain. At the end of the village towards Veilbronn, one half of the route leads to Traindorf via a meadow path and turns in the middle of the village again, over the Leinleiterbrücke onto the asphalted bike / footpath that leads straight (and further on :) back to Heiligenstadt. With the high proportion of asphalt in this round, rubber pads are attached ;-)
Round 5 (as well as short number 4) of the Nordic Walking Park Leinleitertal begins in the middle of the beautiful town center of Heiligenstadt - at the Oertelshof, right next to the large market square with fountain. At the end of the village towards Veilbronn, a half of the route leads via a meadow path to Traindorf (where the short round of 4 makes a U-turn again), straight through Traindorf and further on, slightly uphill on an agricultural path, towards Veilbronn, with a more or less panoramic view of the Leinleitertal and Greifenstein in the background (see my tour >> komoot.de/tour/165841789). The turning point of this round has been reached on the "Bergstrasse" to Volkmannsreuth - past the old pump house, the (asphalt) bike / footpath leads straight (and just :) back to Heiligenstadt.
