At FOCUS, we don’t only build bicycles with enthusiasm, we also ride them that way too. Everyone in the team is a true racing bike aficionado or a daring mountain biker. Challenging alpine passes, crazy steep single trails, 100-km-long (62 mile) end of day rides or vertical meters in the Catalan mountains – we are on the road all over Europe.
Brand Director Moritz, Brand Manager Martin and Lead Engineer Fabi have put their heads together to decide on their favourite road bike routes. Here we present FOCUS’ finest selection on asphalt – from their home in Stuttgart to the French Alps and sunny Girona. In addition, there are three extreme mountain bike routes – first-class trails in the Black Forest, endless vertical meters in Finale Ligure and a breathtaking flow trail in South Tyrol.
If you feel as at home on the saddle as we do, then these routes will make your heart beat faster. So get out there and have fun on your two wheels.

Moritz - Brand Director:
"It was a mega ride! Get out of the cauldron via Botnang and along the bear lakes towards Magstadt. The highlight of the tour is the Würmtal. Beautiful departure.Once a year it is completely closed to cars and we caught the day by accident! Leave a few more grains. Then the slightly hilly and minimally ascending Nagold Valley Cycle Path winds through the valley. Either you enjoy it or you press the TT pedal.Either way, I would take a short break in Calw and enjoy a cake. Then there is another decent climb before you wind your way back to Stuttgart on more or less beautiful streets. In the end there is another highlight with the newly paved tank road. After that, all the grains are used up and you can roll back fully into the kettle. ”

With around 95 kilometers in length and a decent climb, there's nothing for free on this tour. So on the “coffee trip” you can really work out - but in between you have plenty of opportunities to motivate yourself or just relax a little. This round takes you west of Girona towards the Mediterranean: at the turning point in Torroella de Montgrí you can almost hear the waves rushing. On the way back you tackle the most famous climb at the gates of Girona, the Els Angels. In between you come through picturesque villages, sometimes with romantic, medieval town centers. Of course, you will also find numerous locations here for a cozy coffee break. And even if you prefer to take a quick lap without stops, you don't have to do without the black stimulant: as is well known, there are several cult cafes in Girona waiting to flatter your taste buds.
