The Hohe Salve is often considered to afford the most beautiful view in the whole of Tyrol, no mean feat in this mountainous region. The Hohe Salve belongs to the spectacular Kitzbühel Alps in western Austria. Lying between the Karwendel, Wilder Kaiser and Hohe Tauern mountain ranges, you will be amazed by the panorama from the summit.

In this Collection, we’ve selected six hiking routes for you on the Hohe Salve and the surrounding mountains. On each of the hikes, you can enjoy wonderful panoramas, gentle mountain slopes, traditional inns, and vast alpine meadows. Leisure hikers can take the gondola high into the mountains whilst hardy mountaineers can take on the long summit routes.

Following forest paths and mountain trails through the wild landscape, you will find tranquil nature in abundance here as you explore mountain lakes and the only ice cave in Tyrol.

The Hohe Salve is located between the towns of Kufstein, Worgl, and Kitzbühel. Just hop on a train, choose your favourite route, and set off to the mountains this summer.
