The landscapes here are like another planet. Bright colours, distorted shapes, and the plateau’s total absence of vegetation give this part of Spain a strange and mysterious atmosphere. The Bardenas Reales National Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, is an impressive setting that has featured in many film productions. In this Collection, it serves as the backdrop for a series of amazing MTB adventures by professional mountain biker David Cachon. He is known for his bike skills, as well as the incredible photos and videos he takes on his rides. On the routes in this Collection, he takes you through this surreal lunar landscape. This time, the adventures are meant for you to take on too!
The Bardenas Reales National Park is made for mountain biking. In his routes, David Cachon, guides you to many special places including the legendary "Pass of the Deer". This winding trail leads through one of the canyons between eroded, undulating grey rock faces. You also reach the remotest parts of the national park by e-mountain bike, exploring far away from the tourist trail.
If you have got a taste for this spectacular landscape, charge your bike battery and your own energy reserves as quickly as possible. There are over 430 miles (700 km) of trails to explore amongst the huge rock formations and deep gorges of this semi-desert moon-like landscape.
David filmed this video to give you a taste of what to expect:
