Professional mountain biker Guido Tschugg has done just about everything on his bike and completed some impressive challenges such as the world-class four-cross, downhill races, and the legendary freeride spectacle, the Red Bull Rampage. Guido knows the hardest trails and biggest jumps in the world.
We gave Guido a new kind of challenge – to create an E-MTB route in his home region, the Chiemgau, which challenges and inspires bikers to explore new paths. We left it up to him to choose the route, with just one requirement; it should be suitable for all abilities. For Guido, this was, indeed, a challenge. So, he decided to show you two routes. The first is a beautiful, relaxed ride through the Eggstätt-Heimhofer lake district whilst the second is one of his all-time favourite rides up to the top of the Kampenwand, which is quite a challenge.
You can choose which route you prefer. The first adventure takes you past crystal clear lakes, typical German farmland, and shaded forests. This could be a good warm-up ride for you before taking on the more challenging second ride. Guido’s second route is a physically and technically demanding ride to the top of the Kampenwand. With steep slopes and rocky sections, this route will test every riders’ ability, even Guidos.

What could be nicer than sitting on your bike after a day's work and letting the day end on a relaxed lap? If Guido Tschugg does that, it will result in a particularly idyllic tour. Because in his home in Chiemgau there is picturesque nature and wonderful trails in abundance. On this tour between his house and the mountains, Guido takes you through the landscape of the beautiful Eggstätt-Hemhofer lake district northwest of Lake Chiemsee. Here, mirror-like lakes, typical German farmland and shady forest areas await you.The tour is relatively short and easy to ride even for inexperienced bikers. Instead, the focus is on wonderful nature. So take the time to stop at one or the other lake and just take a deep breath. If the weather permits, you can also plan a longer bathing break and refresh yourself in the clear lake water. When you come back from this tour, you know exactly why Guido Tschugg likes to live in this wonderful place.
Even a seasoned bike professional like Guido Tschugg likes to relax. But not only: In between, Guido simply needs the challenge. And this is exactly how we will introduce you to this tour. It is one of Guido's favorite e-bike tours: the demanding ride to the top of the Kampenwand. With a 1,669 meter high peak and remarkable white jagged rocky outcrops, the Kampenwand dominates the surrounding landscape. But it is still an insider tip among bikers - most of them go to the southern Alps. There's exactly the same thing here: a physically and technically demanding ride to the mountain top, where you can really challenge yourself. When you have reached the top of the Kampenwand, you will see a network of gravel roads and paths, all of which are connected. The steep slopes and rocky sections are so difficult and technically demanding that they put every rider, even Guido, to the test. Once at the top, not only a fantastic view awaits you, but also the agony of choice: Which departure do you choose?
