With this Collection, we take you into the mountain world of the Kitzbühel Alps on three different two-day Tours. All routes have something in common: you take the cable car up the mountain and can explore the beautiful alpine landscape with all the time in the world. At the end of the first day, a mountain hut awaits you at the Alpenrosenhütte, the Kobingerhütte, or the Brechhornhaus, each with delicious, regional food, a fantastic view, and cosy beds.

On the second day, you take a small detour to the nearby mountain. If you are an early bird, get up early to watch the sunrise over the Kitzbüheler Horn at the Kreuzjöchlsee. Afterward, you return to the valley with the cable car. The short distances and relaxed nature of these hikes make them perfect for beginners, a family outing, or an easy hike.

The tranquil village of Westendorf in Tyrol is an ideal base camp for the unique hut hikes as the alpenrosen-gondola runs from the village. You can reach Westendorf by train or bus, making it easy to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a hiking vacation in the mountains.

    The modern alpine rose hut lies high above Westendorf and gives you an unforgettable view of the Kitzbüheler Alpen. Various hiking trails lead up to it, this first stage takes you to the scenic waterfall path and the Alpenrosensteig.First you float from the tranquil Westendorf with the Alpenrosenbahn to the middle station. It goes downhill for a short distance, then you climb into the waterfall path. Your steady ascent is accompanied by rippling waterfalls and romantic mountain forests. The path leads you to the Hampferalm with the small chapel. Here you turn left and hike over the Neuhegealm and Fleidingalm. Up here you can expect postcard-like panoramas over the vast mountain landscape of the Kitzbüheler Alpen.At Brunereck you have arrived at the highest point of the tour and can relax and enjoy the view of the surrounding peaks. The Alpenrosensteig takes you to the crossing point of the Alpenrosen and Choralmbahn. Shortly afterwards you can see the idyllic alpine rose hut. You deserve a Kaiserschmarrn for the beautiful sunset before you come to rest in a cozy double room or convivial mattress camp.

    What went up comes down again - but before you descend back to Westendorf, you make a spectacular detour to the Choralm with a fantastic view of the mountains of the Kitzbüheler Alpen.After you have freed yourself from the feathers of the cozy bed at the Alpenrosenhütte and strengthened yourself with a hearty mountain breakfast, your calves will get something to do because you will start to climb. You collect the first meters of altitude in the direction of the Choralmbahn. A forest road will then take you to the top station of the Alpenrosenbahn cable car. From here you wind the last few meters up to the Guggenkögele summit. Up here, an enchanting panorama awaits you over the Kitzbühel Alps and the snow-capped peaks of the Hohe Tauern.If you have had enough of the summit world, you can take the same route back to the Alpenrosenhütte and continue down in zigzags. Alternatively, you can of course float back to Westendorf on the Alpenrosenbahn. If you decide to take the hike, you will cross it every now and then. Shortly after you have crossed a small stream, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Brixental at a height of 1,000 meters.You hike again over a picturesque wooden bridge over the babbling brook and then parallel to the Schneeberg and Sammer lifts back to the beautiful Westendorf.

    Delicious, home-made specialties and a stunning view of the Kitzbühel summit world beckon on this tour to the Kobingerhütte. You will also take a wonderful viewpoint and a picturesque mountain lake with you.Your tour in Westendorf starts gently but with great views with a ride in the Alpenrosenbahn to the mountain station. And because the summit of the Guggenkögele is perched right next to it, you tackle it with a short, crisp climb. From the summit cross you can see the wonderful surrounding mountain landscape and when the weather is clear you can see the snow-capped peaks of the Zillertal Alps.The way back takes you to the top station of the Alpenrosenbahn and on towards Kreuzjöchlsee. You can no longer expect any noticeable increases today. When you arrive at Kreuzjöchlsee, you can take a breathtaking photo of the Brechhorn reflected in the weather. If your stomach growls, you can also take a short detour to the Gasthof Brechhornhaus.The path continues to the Harlassanger chapel. The pretty pilgrimage church was built in 1659 in honor of the Visitation of Mary. From here it is only a few meters further down to the Kobingerhütte.

The narrow path turns into a beautiful, shady forest path. On the way to Kirchberg in Tirol you cross some gurgling babbling brooks. Your goal is the valley station of the Gaisbergbahn.From Kirchberg in Tirol you can easily get back to Westendorf with the regional train or the train lines 5029 and 5031.

Time to have a good breakfast, because then it's time to get down to business. You slowly climb the Brechhorn over a distance of two and a half kilometers and around 400 meters in altitude. On the short plateau of the strollers head you can take a break before you take on the last meters of altitude.If you stand at the summit cross at 2,032 meters, you have made it. In front of you is the Hohe Salve, the Windautal and the rugged flank of the Großer Rettenstein, which is another 300 meters higher. Once you have immortalized yourself in the summit book and soaked up the summit air, you descend again. On the way, you can replenish your water supplies at a fountain.You leave the Kreuzjöchlsee behind and walk through the beautiful alpine world to the top station of the Alpenrosenbahn, which brings you back down to Westendorf with gentle vibrations.
